Forget Strava segments and saddle-sore speed demons—sometimes the best ride is the one where you barely sweat. Welcome to the fourth stop of Santic City Ride in Pingtan, where the only thing we’re chasing is the vibe.

This isn’t a race. It’s a coastal cruise with ocean breezes singing in your ears and waves crashing like nature’s applause. No pressure, no peloton—just pure riding joy, Pingtan-style.
We rolled past whitewashed cottages and lush hills, soundtracked by nothing but the wind and our own stoked heartbeats. At some point, you can’t help but pick up the pace—until the wind laughs back and whispers: “Hey, slow your roll. This is a joyride, remember?”
So we did. We cruised under spinning wind turbines, soaked up golden hour like lazy lizards, and let the island’s calm sink deep into our city souls.
Post-ride, we caffeinated like pros—except the only thing we optimized was our happiness levels. Laughing? More like wind-laughing. Pingtan’s breeze had us feeling poetic… and caffeinated.
Rides like this remind us: cycling isn’t always about going hard. Sometimes it’s about going happy.
