The AXO SL boasts a remarkably slim profile alongside excellent adaptability. Its volume is reduced by 35%, resulting in a more compact shape and a distinctly lightweight visual appeal.
The completely flat outer surface reduces the risk of damage from external impacts or chain drops.
This flat surface also offers greater potential for customization. It readily accepts different decorative covers, enhancing the bike’s aesthetics while providing an extra layer of protection.
The flared, enlarged opening on the backside increases installation compatibility with T47 bottom brackets and various other bottom bracket standards.
Refined Sensors and Data Processing
Continuous optimization gives the AXO SL top-tier data stability and measurement accuracy. A built-in gyroscope and accelerometer work in tandem to reliably capture cadence and power signals, even in complex or extreme riding conditions. Advanced algorithms manage power consumption, maintaining the same battery life as the previous generation despite the added gyroscope.
With ±1.0% accuracy and a real-time temperature compensation algorithm, the AXO SL maintains consistent measurements across environments with high heat, cold, or significant temperature swings.
Data output includes power, cadence, left/right balance, and now adds Pedal Smoothness, delivering more granular data for professional training and power analysis.
The addition of a two-color LED provides clearer status feedback for the power meter.
Material Selection and Manufacturing Control
To ensure structural integrity, durability, and manufacturing consistency, SIGEYI optimized the materials and production process for the AXO SL from start to finish. The main body uses 7075 aluminum alloy, known for its exceptionally high strength-to-weight ratio and fatigue resistance, making it ideal for long-term use under complex loads. The surface receives a hard anodized treatment, significantly boosting wear and corrosion resistance.
The strain gauge circuit employs an integrated wiring harness, reducing the number of solder joints and connectors to enhance long-term reliability from the source.
The main printed circuit board (PCB) area is 57% smaller, reducing PCB material waste during production by 65%. This not only optimizes the internal layout but also lowers manufacturing costs and environmental impact.
*Excludes AXO SL-SRAM-8-4-110 (approx. 80g) and AXO SL-ROTOR-ALDHU-4-110 (approx. 82g).
Protection and Packaging
The AXO SL’s external protection and sealing are meticulously designed for long-term, stable operation.
Charging & Sealing: Prioritizing reliability, the AXO SL uses a classic magnetic charging solution. The magnetic charging port maintains a complete seal at all times. The connection self-aligns and reduces the potential for failure caused by vibration or frequent plugging/unplugging. It stands up to challenging riding conditions like mud, sweat, dust, and temperature cycles.
Packaging: The thoughtfully designed, long-tested paper tray employs a cross-support and rotating latch structure that securely holds the power meter in place while drastically reducing packaging material waste.
