GUTIAN, NINGDE — The inaugural “Tremella Cup” Gutian Open and 2025 Fujian Bicycle League (Gutian Stop) kicked off on the morning of May 18 at Yinshi Park Square, drawing cyclists from across China, Malaysia, and South Korea. Despite less-than-ideal weather, the event was marked by high energy and fierce competition.
The men’s road youth category, the highlight of the day, saw Hu Hangyu (Fengxin SDCK Team) claim a stellar victory. Yin Xiangshun (Slipstream) secured second place, earning him the sprint king title with two intermediate sprint wins, while Lu Zhuofan (Fujian Xidesheng) finished third.
The race covered four laps of a challenging 9.5km circuit with 166m of elevation gain per lap. Two intermediate sprints were incorporated, spicing up the action early on.

In the men’s road masters category, Dai Tao (Shockwave-West Riders) rode to a clear win, followed by Huang Sen (Fengxin SDCK) in second and Jin Yulin (Shockwave-West Riders) in third.
The men’s mountain bike open saw an impressive sweep by Changsha Shunzhen Team. Yang Qianbin and Chen Kai broke away early and never looked back, finishing half a minute ahead of the peloton. Their teammate Chen Yien won the bunch sprint to complete the podium sweep.

Men’s road junior: Huang Zixuan (Xiamen Party House Audio) outsprinted Xu Linming (Fengxin SDCK) for first, with Zheng Yuteng in third.
Women’s road: Zhang Tingting and Liang Yanqing (Bigrock Magic Cycling) dominated with a breakaway, finishing over a minute ahead. Liu Yongling (Great China Super SkyrocketX) took third.
The event offered a mix of intense racing and vibrant community spirit, reinforcing Gutian’s growing reputation as a hub for competitive cycling in the region.
