The 2025 “Jilin Construction Group Cup” Shicheng Island Cycling Invitational kicked off on September 27 in Zhuanghe, Dalian, drawing over 300 riders to the coastal course. The event combined sports, culture, and tourism along a route showcasing the island’s natural scenery
Riders competed in elite and recreational categories, with the elite group completing two laps totaling 62 kilometers and the recreational group riding one 31-kilometer lap. The course passed landmarks like Shicheng Park, Bird Island Nature Reserve, and the Oyster Square, featuring four sharp turns that tested technical skill.
Qi Haonan from INCOLOR-Lingqi Team claimed the elite men’s title, while Pan Mingxin and Zhang Zitong, both from Dalian Wanpeng Mechanical Team, won the
men’s and women’s recreational divisions.
The event began with a lively welcome ceremony on September 26, featuring dance, folk music, and magic shows—setting a festive tone and highlighting the region’s commitment to sports-tourism integration.
