September 1, 2025 – A special vehicle delivery ceremony marked the formal handover of a fleet of Chery Refine X500 RVs to the Chinese Cycling Association. Senior representatives from both organizations attended the event, solidifying a new partnership aimed at enhancing professional support systems for competitive cycling.
The delivered RVs will now serve as the “Official Designated Vehicles of the Chinese Cycling Association” and the “Dedicated Support Vehicles for the China ANTA mentech Continental Cycling Team.”
Strategic Collaboration: Building Integrated Sports Support
This initiative unfolds within the broader strategic framework of the “4+2” (Car + Bicycle) lifestyle, promoted by the Association and Chery’s camping division, Tuju Camping. Tuju Camping played a key role in facilitating this partnership, leveraging its resources to integrate Refine’s RV expertise directly into the national cycling ecosystem.
The collaboration goes beyond a simple vehicle purchase. It represents a milestone in leveraging high-end manufacturing from Chery to support national sports development goals. Refine is now positioned as a “Professional Service Provider for Chinese Cycling,” offering comprehensive mobility solutions that empower both event operations and team development.
Vehicle Capabilities: Engineered for Cycling’s Demands
The X500 RVs were selected after rigorous testing in real-world cycling scenarios. The Refine engineering team conducted customized research and development to tailor the vehicles, resulting in three core competencies crucial for competitive cycling support:
All-Terrain Mobility: The vehicles ensure efficient transitions between urban roads and the complex access routes common to race venues.
Multi-Functional Space: The interior layout is designed to accommodate athlete rest and recovery, host event-related functions, and provide secure transport for lightweight equipment.
Scenario-Specific Adaptations: Key systems, including power and water capacity, along with spatial configurations, are optimized for long-term training camp deployments and multi-day, long-distance race follow support.
This “multi-scene capability” was a decisive factor in meeting the high standards required for supporting national team operations.
Leadership Perspectives: A Shared Vision for Growth
Senior Vice Secretary-General of the Chinese Cycling Association, Sun Lianbin, expressed strong support for the partnership. “The Refine X500 redefines the standard for professional event support,” said Sun. “We look forward to deepening our collaboration with Tuju Camping and Refine to explore innovative models that combine specialized equipment with event services, ultimately boosting the competitiveness and international profile of Chinese cycling.”
Speaking at the ceremony, Tuju Camping’s Marketing Director, Xu Jun, highlighted the broader vision. “We are proud to help drive this partnership. Tuju Camping will leverage our nationwide chain of campgrounds, operating through a dual model of ‘fixed campsites + mobile support,’ to create high-quality outdoor destinations and enhance the RV experience,” Xu stated. “Moving forward, we plan to actively develop our own IP events, such as 4+2 themed competitions and youth cycling training programs, further blending the sports and camping ecosystems. Our goal is for campgrounds to become vital hubs connecting automotive life and cycling culture.”
Chery Refine General Manager, Li Tiejun, emphasized the strategic importance of this venture. “This cooperation is a strategic breakthrough for Tuju Camping and Chery Refine in specializing within a specific vertical market,” Li noted. “We will use the platform established with the Cycling Association to continuously refine our event-specific product system and build a full-cycle support chain—from R&D to service and maintenance—laying a solid mobile foundation for the global development of Chinese cycling.”
Future Deployment: Setting a New Standard
The newly delivered RV fleet will first provide support for the China ANTA mentech Continental Team’s training sessions in Asia and international competition travel. Refine has simultaneously launched a dedicated “Event Support Plan,” offering round-the-clock technical assistance and customized upgrade services.
This partnership not only strengthens Refine’s position as a provider of “high-end, specialized mobility solutions” but also aims to deeply integrate the “sports event ecosystem” with the “high-end manufacturing supply chain,” injecting innovative momentum into the professionalization and internationalization of Chinese competitive sports.
