3T introduces the all-new RaceMax2 Italia, a comprehensive evolution of its gravel race platform featuring optimized geometry, increased tire clearance, and enhanced aerodynamic performance. Building on the original, the new model adopts a steeper head tube angle, increased fork offset, and a lower bottom bracket, paired with an ultra-short 420mm chainstay – currently the shortest design among bikes accommodating 50mm tires and wider.
Race-Optimized Geometry
The new geometry positions the RaceMax2 as a true all-road performer. With a 71.5-degree head tube angle and 74-degree seat tube angle aligning closely with road bike standards, the low stack and long reach further emphasize its racing character. 3T states these aerodynamic refinements make it the fastest gravel bike they have ever produced.
Aerodynamic Evolution
The redesigned frame introduces innovative aerodynamic features. The head tube now features a leading knife-edge profile with a noticeably extended trailing edge. The fork dropouts are optimized, brake caliper bolt covers improve airflow, and the driveside eliminates the thru-axle port.
The bike pairs with 3T’s More aero stem and Aeroghiaia aero gravel handlebar, with an updated integrated bar/stem combo specifically for the RaceMax2 expected early next year.
Integrated Design & Storage
A notably wide 75mm down tube completely shields water bottles from the wind and incorporates a custom Miss Grape storage bag.
The lowered seat stays connect to the seat post with an aero profile, while the integrated seat clamp incorporates a taillight function.
Versatile Performance
Despite the short chainstays and aero optimization, the RaceMax2 maintains compatibility with both 1x and 2x drivetrains, accommodating chainrings up to 52T. 3T claims a 1.5% improvement in aero efficiency over the previous RaceMax Italia when fitted with 50mm tires.
Despite these aero gains and increased tire clearance, the frame weight is maintained at a claimed 990 grams (1050g with the storage bag). A medium-sized fork is reduced to 380 grams. Complete bike weights start from just 7.9 kg in a SRAM Red XPLR and Zipp 303 XPLR build.

Positioning
With its short wheelbase and aggressive angles, the RaceMax2 leans decisively toward an all-road, performance-oriented character. It positions itself against rivals like the Cervelo Aspero 5, rather than bikes focused primarily on technical terrain like the Parlee Taos.
