On August 31, the 2025 “Ocean Cup” China·Pingtan International Cycling Open officially began at Longwangtou Square in the Pingtan Comprehensive Experimental Zone, Fujian! Nearly 2,200 cyclists from 16 countries and regions gathered in Pingtan to embark on a thrilling journey of riding between mountains and sea.
After fierce competition, Su Jun of the BROSS-CENIT team claimed victory in the Men’s Road Elite category, finishing with a time of 2:04:47 and securing the coveted yellow jersey.
This year’s race featured five competitive categories: Men’s Road Elite, Men’s Road Amateur, Men’s MTB Open, Men’s MTB Masters, and Women’s Road Amateur. In addition, the Island Touring Ride combined sport and leisure, offering nearly 2,200 participants the chance to chase the wind and pursue their cycling dreams across Pingtan.
Other podium results included Mick Bauer from GUSTO SUPERTEAM, who took second place and was named the “Rising Star” of the event, and Peng Peilin from the MERIDA-NOVATEC team, who secured third place. Chen Shu of the HC-NSVE-Wufushi joint team claimed the Polka Dot Jersey as the King of the Mountains.
