“Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away.”

Aethos 2: For the Love of the Ride
At approximately 595 grams, its frame weight stands tall among production road bikes, but that is hardly the main point. Yes, it feels light as a feather on climbs, through corners, and on descents, yet trophies and race regulations are not its purpose. The Aethos 2 chooses not to follow the crowd, aiming instead for a higher plane. It unlocks a purer riding experience—where, as you push to your limits, the bike itself seems to fade away. Body, mind, and machine merge into one, creating a moment of perfect harmony. The Aethos 2 breaks barriers for the few who seek it, honoring a pure love for the ride.
The Pure Ride, Refined
When the original Aethos launched four years ago, it quickly became one of the lightest production road bikes available. More than that, riders praised its incredibly smooth and fluid ride quality.
In creating it, we broke nearly every rule in the book: we set aside our own engineering assumptions, pushed beyond UCI weight limits, and challenged the industry’s entrenched ideas of what a modern road bike should be.
Nearly everyone, including the purists, was satisfied. Except for us. We became obsessed with making it even better.
So we refined the geometry, fitted it with Roval Alpinist components, and made subtle yet crucial enhancements.
Now, welcome to the purest ride yet.
Evolved Where It Matters, Unchanged Where It Counts
The Aethos 2 introduces new geometry, increased tire clearance, and fresh componentry—while preserving the ride quality that made the original unforgettable. The way the Aethos 2 carves down a descent, responds instantly to every pedal stroke, and floats over rough pavement is something you must feel to believe. When you see the number—595 grams—it will hit you. Don’t worry, that part hasn’t changed.
Evolved where it matters:
Refined geometry for improved comfort, informed by decades of Body Geometry data.
Tire clearance increased to 35mm for a more comfortable, confident, and versatile ride.
New Roval one-piece bar and wheel setups for a lighter, smoother, and more integrated system.
Unchanged where it counts:
It remains one of the world’s lightest disc-brake production road frames, at approximately 595 grams.
It delivers the same captivating, precisely responsive ride feel that made riders fall in love with the original.
