The 13th Tour of Poyang Lake International Cycling Race concluded on September 26 in Shangyou, Ganzhou, after a dramatic final stage that capped off the 2025 edition of the event.

Riders took on a 124.2-kilometer route starting at the Shangyou Sports and Cultural Center and finishing on Youjiang Avenue. The challenging course featured four sprint points and two Category 4 climbs, testing cyclists one last time before the overall winners were decided.

From the start, attacks came quickly. A long line of riders pushed the pace early, setting up an intense battle that lasted until the final kilometer. In a tight sprint finish, Martin Laas from the Estonia Quicker Pro Team clinched the stage win by a narrow margin. Norman Vahtra of China ANTA mentech Cycling Team took second, while Sergei Rostovtsev of Shenzhen KUNG Continental Team finished third.
The race also honored its season-long jersey winners. Teng Geng of China ANTA mentech Cycling Team retained the pink jersey, while his teammate Norman Vahtra secured the orange sprint jersey. Otto Zanden Van from Team Valkenburg Park Hotel claimed the white jersey for best young rider. Petr Rikunov of Chengdu DYC Continental Team earned both the polka-dot king of the mountains jersey and the blue jersey as overall individual winner. The Tour of Poyang Lake, organized by the Jiangxi Provincial Government and the Chinese Cycling Association, spanned multiple cities across Jiangxi, showcasing the region’s natural scenery and growing passion for cycling.
With the final podium celebrations in Shangyou, the 2025 tour came to a successful close, celebrating another year of world-class racing in the heart of Jiangxi.
