The 2025 Chengdu Tianfu Greenway International Cycling Race will kick off on June 28 with a challenging 100 km team time trial around Chengdu’s urban ecological zone. Starting and finishing at Guixi Ecological Park in High-Tech Zone, the course connects 78 scenic bridges and 121 parks, offering both a visual spectacle and a serious test of speed and teamwork.
Teams will set off at four-minute intervals, with the final time based on the fourth rider across the line. Last year’s winners, Chengdu DYC Continental Team, set a blistering average speed of 51.964 km/h—a record that may be challenged this year given the stronger international lineup.

A total of 16 teams—including nine international squads—are set to compete. Here’s a look at the main contenders:
Chengdu DYC Continental Team
As defending champions and hosts, Chengdu DYC returns with a powerful roster including Li Chaoyi, a local talent strengthened by last year’s national time trial champions. They remain the favorites on home ground.
Parkhotel Valkenburg (Netherlands)
Last year’s runners-up bring Dutch precision and power to a course suited for strong team rhythm. Their experience makes them a serious threat for the top spot.
Volemos-SCOM-Taishan Sports Continental Team
Last year’s third-place finishers have reinforced their squad with new time trial specialists. Their attention to detail and improved line-up could propel them further this season.
Estonian Express Team
A flat-road powerhouse filled with strong rouleurs, this team aims to be one of the fastest in the TTT. Their lack of climbers is no issue on this rolling course.
Netherlands Cosmos Cycling Team
New to the event, this Dutch outfit looks to follow Parkhotel’s example. They have marked the team time trial as a major season objective.
Thailand LuJia Insurance Team
A consistently top-ranked Asian team with all-round strengths. Their line-up includes Ariya Phounsavath, a two-time national time trial champion from Laos, who will be crucial in setting the rhythm.
This year’s expanded international presence suggests higher speeds and fiercer competition. Cycling fans can expect a spectacular battle against the clock amid Chengdu’s unique ecological backdrop.
