In 2024, the total international export value of bicycles shipped by all countries reached $8.9 billion. Compared to 2020, five years prior, the aggregate export value of bicycles from all exporting nations declined by an average of -10.3%, when global bicycle exports stood at $9.9 billion. From 2023 to 2024, bicycle export revenue shrank by -7.7% from $9.6 billion.
By country, the top five nations in bicycle export value were Mainland China, Taiwan, China, Germany, the Netherlands, followed by Portugal. Collectively, these major suppliers accounted for nearly two-thirds (65.1%) of all bicycles exported and sold on the international market in 2024. Such a high percentage indicates a relatively concentrated global supplier base.
Among continents, Asian countries supplied the highest value of exported bicycles sold in 2024, totaling $4.66 billion and representing 52.5% of the global total. Over two-fifths (44.9%) were shipped by exporters based in Europe. Smaller proportions originated from North America (1.5%), Latin America (0.52%) (excluding Mexico but including the Caribbean), Africa (also 0.52%), and Oceania (0.1%), primarily Australia and New Zealand.

Among the largest exporters, the fastest-growing bicycle exporters since 2023 are: Portugal (up 9.8%), the Netherlands (up 7.3%), Mainland China (up 2.5%), and Austria (up 1.9%).
Countries and regions experiencing declines in bicycle export volumes include: Taiwan, China (-25.8% compared to 2023), France (-25.8%), Cambodia (-16.8%), the Czech Republic (-16.5%), and Vietnam (-14.3%).
