The sixth Nanping Cycling Open and 2025 Fujian Provincial Cycling League concluded successfully in Songxi on August 17, with over 600 riders competing across lush green hills and clear waters.
Thirteen individual and team champions were crowned after intense competition. In the men’s road race, Xu Zhaoliang, Fan Wei, and Yin Xiangshun claimed top honors through strong stamina and technical skill. Women’s and youth categories also saw fierce racing, with Xie Yuanyuan, Cai Mingjun, and Chen Jinhong taking victories. Team championships went to AVENGER & AEC-KMC Women’s Team, Merida-Norco Baseball, and others.
Fan Wei, men’s middle-aged group winner from Jiangxi, shared: “I’m thrilled to finally win after two second-place finishes. I love returning to Songxi – it’s close to home, surrounded by nature, and the locals always share their culture and food with us.”
International participants also praised the event. Malaysian rider Luo Junying called the course “smooth with fantastic scenery,” while Hong Kong competitor Qiu Zongming said the “wide roads and mountain views reminded me of home.”
Organized by Fujian Provincial Sports Bureau and Songxi County, the event showcased the region’s natural beauty while promoting cycling and fitness tourism.
