The 2025 National Fitness Day Linxiang District Cycling Competition successfully concluded on August 2nd and 3rd. The event featured two categories: Mountain Bike Cross-Country and Road Climb, attracting a total of 193 cycling enthusiasts.
The Mountain Bike Cross-Country race was held on a loop course at the Polar Off-Road Club and Hecheng·Weijianshan venue. The Road Climb started at Yulong Lake Square and finished at the entrance of Wulaoshan National Forest Park, utilizing a fully paved uphill route.
Organized by the Linxiang District Education and Sports Bureau, the event received support from the Lincang Public Security Bureau Linxiang Branch, Linxiang District Media Center, Linxiang District Health Bureau, Linxiang District Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau, Linxiang District Forestry and Grassland Bureau, Linxiang District Sports Association, with planning and execution by Lincang Xinrui Sports Culture Communication Co., Ltd., and safety support provided by Lincang Blue Sky Rescue Team.
The Mountain Bike Cross-Country course, approximately 3.5km per lap, combined dirt tracks, gravel, paved sections, and rocky paths with an elevation change of 120 meters. It featured technical elements like jumps and mud pits.
The Road Climb course spanned approximately 19km from Yulong Lake Square to Wulaoshan National Forest Park, with an elevation gain of 750 meters. This scenic route, part of Linxiang’s Eastern Ring tourist road, offered riders a journey through lush vegetation, serving as a natural oxygen bar.
The successful hosting of the Linxiang District Cycling Competition not only garnered widespread praise from participants but also served as a significant platform to implement the national fitness strategy and promote the development of cycling sports. We look forward to next year’s event!
